CHICAGO--April 19, 2005--Mind Commerce(R) has released a new publication, The Definitive Guide to Mobile Positioning and Location Management with GPS, Terrestrial Positioning, Non-Cellular (RFID and W-Fi) Positioning, and Managing Location Information. The publication provides a comprehensive overview of the technical aspects of mobile positioning and location management technologies.
The intended audience for this publication is investors, suppliers, wireless carriers, service providers, consultants and students interested in the technologies and markets for location-based services and wireless E911.
The publication discusses in depth the various methods for determining location for use by mobile applications, including satellite-based methods like GPS as well as terrestrial network-based methods. Geographic Information System, or GIS, technology is also discussed in detail, as are the particular elements involved in location management for technology vendors.
