Digital Maps for Oracle Spatial Capabilities Will Deliver Support for Geocoding, Routing, Display and Navigation

Seattle, WA, Oracle Spatial User Conference, March 13, 2008 – Tele Atlas (FSE: TA6, EUNV: TA), a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location based solutions and a Certified Partner in the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, today announced it will expand coverage of Tele Atlas MultiNet for Oracle® Database 11g, with North America map data of the United States and Canada, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the Oracle community.

 Tele Atlasâ MultiNet is a turn-by-turn digital map database for creating compelling map-based solutions with support for geocoding, routing, display and navigation features. MultiNet is deployed globally in leading enterprise and consumer navigation applications and devices and provides an accurate foundation and flexible platform with hundreds of features and attributes required to efficiently build innovative, powerful map-based applications for different target markets.

 MultiNet for Oracle Spatial 11g will allow Tele Atlas partners to incorporate the extensive suite of Oracle spatial capabilities into their applications and to speed application deployment with prebuilt routing and geocoding functionality. In combination with the location features in Oracle Database 11g, a wide range of applications can be deployed using MultiNet digital map data, ranging from automated mapping/facilities management and geographic information systems (GIS), to wireless location services and location-enabled Business Intelligence.  Oracle provides the industry’s leading spatial database management platform, with native support for 3D, georaster, and vector data; geocoding and routing engines; and web services.  Oracle Spatial 11g enables land management, utilities, public sector organizations, retail, insurance, finance organizations to create the location intelligent enterprise.

Through Tele Atlas’ relationship with Oracle, sample data for developers will be available for download via Tele Atlasâ DeveloperLink at http://developerlink.teleatlas.com. To further support Oracle customers, Tele Atlas’ Consultative Services Group leverages years of industry expertise to assist with development customization and support.  Additionally, in 2007, Tele Atlas and Oracle announced a collaboration to create the European Center for Innovation in Geospatial & Location Based Services (LBS), a multi-disciplinary community focused on the introduction of new ideas, knowledge sharing, value proposition building and networking for the geospatial and LBS arenas.  Tele Atlas MultiNet for Oracle Spatial 11g with North America map data is scheduled to be commercially available later this year with a developer release scheduled to be available in Q2 2008.  Currently, developers utilizing Oracle can access sample data for Western Europe via Tele Atlas DeveloperLink.
