Masternaut Three X recruits telematics pioneer Martin Otter from Norwich Union

Leeds, UK, 07 March 2008 Masternaut Three X, the UKs leading provider of web-based vehicle telematics and mobile working solutions, has appointed Martin Otter as Director of Customer Solutions.
Otter joins Masternaut from
Norwich Union where he was Head of Telematics, pioneering the use of vehicle
telematics with the introduction of the first pay as you drive car insurance
policy in the UK. As Director of Customer Solutions at Masternaut Three X Martin
Otter will be responsible for developing the companys portfolio of advanced
mobile working solutions delivering additional benefits to the user base
which has grown to more than 100,000 UK subscribers.
This is a significant appointment for Masternaut Three X, said Martin
Port, Managing Director of the Leeds based technology company. Martin brings a
wealth of experience in developing solutions that are at the cutting edge of
technology, he also has unprecedented knowledge of the vehicle telematics
industry and a passion for customer service.
During his 22 years at Norwich Union, the largest insurance services
provider in the UK, Martin Otter led the development of Pay as you Drive
insurance, pioneering the use of vehicle telematics to introduce variable cost
insurance for retail customers based on their actual driving habits and additional
fleet-wide solutions for businesses. He was also behind the introduction of
the UKs first Total Incident Management service. Providing a 24/7 accident
response service Clubline revolutionised the reporting of accidents and
processing of claims in the UK.
