An update from the Tele Atlas DeveloperLink Program
Our
recent additions to DeveloperLink were designed to address the needs of
developers with a variety of interests and varying levels of LBS
expertise.
Using Google's
Android Operating System: This sample Google Android application
demonstrates how to get and use a device's location from different
sources. Source code showing how to work with maps and location
providers is provided.
Help Using Oracle
MapBuilder: This document describes one way to use Oracle MapBuilder to view Tele Atlas' Oracle data on a map. If you don't have
access to an Oracle database, Oracle Express 10G works for this sample and is a
good way to get started.
Webinar: Building a Web-based Mapping Application: Here is a detailed hands-on
explanation on how to build a mapping web application from the ground up. The webinar covers the initial setup, geocoding, zooming and panning, and
rendering points-of-interest or other artifacts on the map. Click

Refer a
Colleague: Now there is an easy way to tell other LBS professionals about the
resources available on DeveloperLink. Click on the orange Refer a Colleague button
located along the left side of the DeveloperLink page. Simply
enter your colleague's E-mail address to send a DeveloperLink invitation
E-mail. The invitation E-mail can be edited to include your
personal remarks.
