Its the companys latest enhancement to the rental car industrys first in-car navigation system. This service allows Hertz customers to plan their trips entirely online from the convenience of their home or office. They simply go to www.neverlost.com, enter their trip information, save it to a personal USB storage device and insert it into the Hertz NeverLost system.
In the past, users entered information for each destination into the Hertz NeverLost system, one destination at a time. With Online Trip Planning, entire trips can be planned in advance quickly and easily. In addition to the familiar Hertz NeverLost system features, here are a few of the unique features that Online Trip Planning offers:
* Yellow Pages Finds businesses near destinations. For example, travelers can find restaurants near their next destination.
* Corridor Search Finds establishments between destinations, such as finding a gas station on the way back to the airport
* Trip Optimization Changes the order of stops for efficient route planning
* Address/Intersection Allows easy entry of addresses or intersection information
* Favorites Downloads the most up-to-date information on favorite points of interest, such as museums, sporting events, shopping malls, meetings and conventions
* City Guides Provides city guides for top markets that highlight the most noteworthy tourist attractions
