Solutions Enable Customizable Web-based, Print and Mobile Maps for Destinations, Events and Venues

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 11 -- Mobile World Congress 2008, booth #1G45 -- NAVTEQ Corporation, (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, announced today from Mobile World Congress 2008 that it is now offering its Map Network(R) maps and location content solutions in Europe.  Destinations, events and venues throughout Europe can now partner with NAVTEQ to create and market accurate customized maps and dynamic event guides of their locations in web-based and print formats.  Map Network maps and content solutions are also enabled for integration into mobile devices.

Map Network maps and distribution network help locations tell their unique stories and share them with visitors before, during and after their experience.  Offering rich local content and Points of Interest, these maps enable places to showcase their brand in a highly-customized, location-relevant way.  Map Network products are built on a flexible content management system that allows online updating to provide visitors with up-to-date local content and fresh, accurate maps.

"Bringing our Map Network products and capabilities to Europe was a logical next step for us.  Map Network maps offer a compelling marketing medium for locations and events, visually telegraphing and organizing the attributes that together create the visitor experience and are the essence of their brands," commented Shane Green, Vice President - Location Content Group, NAVTEQ.  "Gathering this ultra-local, time-sensitive content is also a critical step in helping NAVTEQ organize the world's location content for use by our customers and end-users."

These maps also offer a unique and versatile advertising medium, allowing customers to reduce costs, generate revenue and get access to advanced mapping technologies through integrated advertising sales programs.

Map Network's Destination, Event and Venue products as well as a prototype of its new Interactive Mobile Guide will be demonstrated live at NAVTEQ's Mobile World Congress 2008 booth #1G45, Fira de Barcelona - Montjuic, Barcelona, Spain from February 11th and 14th.  The Interactive Mobile Guide allows rich local Point of Interest information and map graphics to be accessed through mobile devices.
