GPS Wireless 2008, in its 12th year, brings the top industry professionals together to gain market information about portable navigation device, LBS, enterprise and other mobile information markets. GPS Wireless 2008 features the industry's best networking with nearly 40 tabletop displays.

San Francisco, CA January 16, 2008 -- More than 200 mobile information professionals from the largest automobile manufacturers, wireless carriers, mobile electronics vendors, homeland defense and computer companies will meet March 13-14 for GPS-Wireless 20078 (http://www.gps-wireless.com) at the San Mateo Marriott Hotel near San Francisco Airport.

The 12th annual conference, sponsored by Global Technology Communications Inc. (GTCI), features nearly 40 speakers from the top companies. Go to our website to find out how to speak, sponsor or attend. Reduced attendee rates are available until Feb. 1, 2008.
The mobile information technology market is growing as millions of portable navigation systems are being sold worldwide. Will the PND continue to reign supreme, or will the handset take over as the top navigation and information device? Find out who will win -- and why -- at GPS Wireless 2008.

Either way, the largest automotive manufacturers, wireless carriers, global positioning system providers, software companies are finding ways to get information into a vehicle or a mobile device such as a PND -- whether that be traffic information, location-based e-commerce, navigation and emergency services. In addition, find out the hottest markets for personal navigation systems, enterprise and security products.

Some new questions to be asked at GPS-Wireless 2008:
--The impact of Open Access on future of LBS (how are the biggies in the industry--Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, VZW, Sprint, ATT and others reacting?)
--What is the future of the connected PND (Magellan, Garmin, Mio, TomTom etc.)
--How does map data need to evolve to continue to be the core of LBS? (NAVTEQ, Yahoo, Microsoft, Tele Atlas, ASK.com)
--What will shape future LBS Value Chain and how will it be Impacted by consolidation?
--The battle for the consumer mindshare for navigation -- will It be the handset or the PND?
--The role of the retailer in shaping the future of LBS...what do the Best Buys of the world want?
--How does an LBS Developer win in an Open Access world?
-- What will be the next LBS market segment that will grow?
--What are the online portals doing to grow the market? What are their challenges?
--When will carriers introduce LBS? What's holding it up?
--Asset monitoring that includes heavy equipment, containers, high-value goods. Will this market take off? When? What companies will dominate? What technologies will dominate, i.e. RFID, A-GPS? Homeland security markets growing?
--What LBS applications will dominate?
--How are fleet and asset management providers making inroads? They are jumping on the LBS bandwagon and beginning to integrate mobile worker location into their apps.
--What's new with Portable Navigation Systems' markets? Will other features become available such as satellite radio, traffic information and more content?

GPS-Wireless 2008 features tabletop exhibits from the top vendors. A few sponsorships and exhibit spaces are available. Hurry as tabletops and sponsorships have sold out every year.

Other conferences cost two-to-three times as much as GPS-Wireless 2008 -- and offer fewer speakers and no networking opportunities. GPS-Wireless 2008 offers a pre-conference reception on March 12, keynote luncheon, networking coffee breaks, a hosted reception with tabletops, buffet luncheon, complete attendee list and a 300-page binder full of market information. In addition, GPS-Wireless 2008 offers discounts for two or more attendees from the same company and significant savings on lodging at the San Mateo Marriott Hotel-San Francisco Airport (To reserve your room by phone, please call the reservations department at 888-236-2427, or 650-653-6000 and be sure to mention GPS-Wireless 2008 to receive our outstanding rate at this top-notch hotel).
