LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2008 — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) today announced the availability of three of its GPS phone software applications for CDMA-based BlackBerry® smartphones with built-in GPS, which include the BlackBerry® 8830 World Edition and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8130 smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM). The AllSport GPS™, Geocache Navigator™ and Trimble Outdoors™ applications from the Trimble Outdoors family of GPS-on-cellular products and services provide BlackBerry smartphone users with the on-the-go lifestyle solutions they demand.

The announcement was made today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Trimble’s GPS-on-cellular applications will be showcased at the CES in Las Vegas from January 7-10 at Booth # 4714 in the North Hall.

With the introduction of the Trimble Outdoors applications on CDMA-based BlackBerry smartphones, a greater range of consumers can now harness the power of GPS for their outdoor lifestyle activities. Following the earlier release of the three applications for the GSM-based BlackBerry smartphones with built-in GPS, consumers with devices such as the popular and compact BlackBerry Pearl 8130 smartphone can now utilize their smartphone as they participate in outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, fishing, biking, running, walking, or even geocaching.

Additionally, users may download map images and recommended routes to their phones, view performance statistics, and store workouts to monitor progress or share with friends. The application supports a variety of outdoor activities including walking, running, cycling and mountain biking.

Geocache Navigator

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt that is rapidly gaining widespread adoption worldwide. Geocache Navigator is the only application that brings geocaching capabilities to the mobile phone and provides real time access to geocaching.com, the largest geocache database in the world. Using their GPS phone, geocachers can seek the caches using a uniquely constructed, radar-like interface that guides them toward their destination.
