Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $4.7 Million Movement Tracking System Order

MELVILLE, N.Y.-- Aug. 18, 2005--Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (NASDAQ:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., has received an order totaling $4.7 million on its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the U. S. Army.
This order is for the purchase of Comtech's next generation mobile satellite transceiver, which features embedded RFID and secure GPS capabilities, along with ruggedized computers and control stations.
Total orders received to date against the $418.2 million contract increased to $195.5 million.
