Earthcomber fires up its iPhone experience PDF Print E-mail

A newer, hotter version of Earthcomber has been unleashed for the iPhone.
What's new? A 3-fold speed increase. New, upgraded location reviews. And, imagery from many locations so you actually can see the scene inside.

If you haven’t heard of Earthcomber, this free “personal radar” runs on your iPhone browser and spots restaurants, movie theaters (with listings), hot clubs and bars, personal essentials, business needs and much more – over 10 million places around the USA.

Fast and thorough, Earthcomber lets you shift modes – business, fun times, and an entire sweep of cuisines called Let's Eat. So Earthcomber does its magic without requiring endless input.  Simply touch any of the lists, and a wide range of nearby places is displayed. A single tap can produce hundreds of choices, organized by category and proximity for easy browsing.

Detailed reviews, ratings and pictures are available for many of the locations.  With another tap, you can get maps or directions to the door.

Create a free account, and the application will also spot your “Peeps” – friends, family, and co-workers who can do the same on any phone or even a regular desktop PC through Earthcomber mobile or the Earthcomber website. You can also make your own personalized search modes and lists.

Maps and directions are integrated, and Earthcomber includes faux-GPS, sensing your geographic location based on your iPhone’s WiFi connection. Again, no need to key it in – unless you want to swap locations and “virtually visit” somewhere else. Just pick a city from the list, or tap in the town you want and see what's around there that interests you.

Earthcomber is consistently rated among top iPhone applications.  You can get it here. mobile.earthcomber.com
