Through the @Road Alliance Referral Program, the $750 Million Chemical Distributor-Owned Organization Will Promote @Road MRM Solutions to Its Members
FREMONT, Calif.-- -@Road(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:ARDI), a global provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and intelligent field service automation solutions, today announced that the Chemical Distribution Network (CDN), a $750 million distributor-owned organization made up of 21 leading chemical distribution companies, has selected @Road as its preferred MRM solutions provider under the terms of the @Road Alliance Referral Program agreement. Through this alliance program and agreement, CDN agrees to promote @Road solutions, such as the @Road Transportation and Distribution Suite, to each of its members.
In conjunction with its relationship with @Road, CDN has additionally agreed to promote @Road MRM solutions to all members of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD), an international organization of more than 250 chemical distributor companies that purchase chemical products from manufacturers. NACD has members throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. @Road has also applied for Affiliate Membership into NACD.
"Critical to our decision making process was finding a financially stable vendor that not only had a robust Internet-based solution, but had the vision towards adding future, relevant functionality specific to our industry," said Chris Coates, executive director for CDN. "Candidly, it was not a difficult decision for CDN, as we believed @Road offered overall value that significantly differentiated them from competition in the same space."
The @Road Transportation and Distribution Suite can extend the functionality of the @Road GeoManager(SM) MRM solution through optimized mobile resource allocation and by delivering on-demand visibility into driver productivity. The @Road Transportation and Distribution Suite, through GeoManager data integration capabilities, can also streamline daily activities for drivers and dispatchers by minimizing, and in some cases eliminating, manual tasks and paperwork for more effective management of mobile resources.
Within the @Road Transportation and Distribution Suite are industry-tailored applications such as FieldServices Reports (for monitoring dispatching, early returns, job completion and on-time rates); State Mileage Reports (for automating and streamlining the fuel tax and mileage reconciliation process); Speed Radar (for alerts to dispatchers when vehicles exceed posted speed limits); and Driver Logs (for automatic recording of daily driver activities as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation).
"Now, more than ever before, chemical distribution companies are looking for ways to drive down costs, enhance driver and equipment safety and security, and meet regulatory compliance, all while increasing customer responsiveness and ROI," said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. "We can help chemical distributors do that through our tailored MRM solutions that go beyond the scope of traditional GPS applications. We look forward to working with members of both CDN and NACD by providing them with innovative, industry specific solutions to meet their current and future mobile resource management needs."
