Tele Atlas Address Points for Germany Provide Superior Digital Map Routing and Display Capabilities
InterGeo, Leipzig, Germany September 24, 2007 Tele Atlas (FSE: TA6, EUNV: TA), a leading global provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location-based solutions, announced the availability of Tele Atlas Address Points for Germany, which are designed to deliver a high degree of accuracy by pinpointing discrete, actual street addresses to physical buildings. With the first launch of Tele Atlas Address Points in Europe, more than 19 million address points in Germany are now available, encompassing over 90 percent of the country and providing more precise spatial analysis, routing and display capabilities.
Tele Atlas Address Points are fully compatible with the companys digital map products to help enable unparalleled geospatial analysis and navigation and offer end users a faster, more precise method of locating addresses. Unlike with traditional geocoding, Tele Atlas partners leveraging Address Points are able to position addresses on the map, without errors generated by interpolation, to help direct users to precise building locations.
To help ensure accuracy, Tele Atlas incorporates address data from trusted private and governmental sources to provide users with exact street name and address, postal code, longitude and latitude, and other critical location information. With this level of precision, applications in a range of industries can benefit from efficient, accurate routing, increased productivity and lower costs with improved route planning and asset utilization.
Whether guiding emergency response teams, routing fleets or driving economic planning, location-based applications require digital map data and content with a precise address accuracy to ensure efficiency, said Jack Reinelt, COO and Managing Director, Tele Atlas EMEA. With the expansion of Tele Atlas Address Points to cover millions of addresses in Germany, the largest market in Europe for digital map applications, we are demonstrating our commitment to deliver a global solution for our partners and to setting the global standard for accuracy and utility in address accuracy for geocoding solutions.
Tele Atlas Address Points for Germany are available immediately for partner applications and geospatial, geocoding and display solutions for a range of markets, including GIS, LBS, Internet, insurance and risk management, transportation and logistics, and utilities. Tele Atlas will demonstrate the product at InterGeo in Leipzig, Germany, September 25-27 in Hall 1, Booth F1.612.
