ArcGIS Goes Mobile - Build and Deploy Server-Based Mobile Applications
Written by ESRI
Monday, 17 September 2007
ESRI offers a comprehensive suite of mobile GIS products designed for
various application and platform requirements. These include
out-of-the-box solutions, such as ArcPad, as well as developer
toolkits, such as the newest addition to the ESRI mobile GIS family,
called ArcGIS Mobile.
ArcGIS Mobile applications use maps that are authored in ArcGIS Desktop
and published as map resources with ArcGIS Server. ArcGIS Server then
allows synchronizing and distributing geographic information to a large
number of users on a range of supported mobile device platforms.
