IRVING, Texas August 20, 2007 SAVR Communications, Inc. a
technology innovator for the transportation and logistics industry has
successfully developed the first high-precision differential GPS tag
capable of utilizing wi-fi or mesh networks for data backhaul.
The SAVR SENTRY 500-D can provide visibility to high value assets and processes utilizing existing wireless networks without the additional burden of traditional RFID reader infrastructure. The tag contains multiple sensor and external data interface options to provide unmatched system flexibility. Initial applications have included marine terminal and yard management systems, equipment tracking, high-value asset tracking, and package transit / tamper detection.
The SAVR SENTRY product line is a unique family of in-transit real-time on-demand track and trace devices with advanced sensor technology that allows asset owners to know where their shipment/equipment/resources are (as well as their condition) at any time. This scaleable modular platform gives the users a solution that uniquely fits their needs and requirements without compromise.
The SENTRY platform includes support for numerous communication capabilities such as Wi-Fi, RFID, Cellular (GSM/GPRS), and LEO (Low Earth Orbit) Satellites. The rechargeable device also supports numerous sensor/data acquisition options such as temperature, fluid levels, shock, light, humidity, radiation, audible alarms, multiple frequency exciters, high sensitivity GPS and Differential GPS in order to fully monitor fixed or mobile assets. In addition, theft and tamper detection circuitry can be integrated to alert users of tampering that may occur in transit.
The software and web based GUI (with dynamic security features) are in place and completely customizable to support each application. In addition, all of this information is capable of being adapted to work with all primary operating systems or network configurations.
