Program Builds Upon Customer Success of etrace Mobile Workforce Management Software for Ultra-Rugged New SANYO SCP-7050 Phones
MINNEAPOLIS-- Gearworks, a leading provider of location-based mobile business applications, today launched its Rugged Software for the Rugged Phone campaign, a program that builds upon continued customer success of etrace® for the SANYO SCP-7050 phone running on the Sprint National Network.
The SCP-7050 is an ultra-rugged new phone that features an anti-slip grip and adheres to Military Standard 810F for dust, shock and vibration. Combined with Gearworks powerful wireless and Web-based etrace application which uses GPS to enable real-time supervision of field workers the SCP-7050 is ideal for business users with mobile field operations such as those in maintenance, transportation, construction and other tough environments.
The Rugged Software for the Rugged Phone campaign features best value pricing for etrace and a special pre-promotion for turn-by-turn navigation. Featuring automatic and remote start-up, easy timecard entry and configurable job dispatch, and breadcrumb trails that show where workers have been, etrace pro is now available for $19.95 per month and etrace standard for $14.95 per month as part of the campaign. PowerNav, which is based on the worlds leading mobile navigation technology for turn-by-turn, audible driving directions and points of interest, is available for only $5 more per month. Also, through a rebate, Gearworks will provide PowerNav to new etrace pro customers free for the first year. All prices are in addition to Sprint data plan fees.
The environment our workers operate within requires a phone that will withstand wear and tear, said John Schultz, service manager for General Parts, which distributes parts and provides service for more than 20,000 customers and 400 manufacturers of commercial foodservice equipment. Other phones weve used in the past started having issues after nine months or so. In addition to creating new dispatching and supervision efficiencies, the 7050s running etrace provide us a long-term, reliable solution to our workforce management needs.
According to Antonio Smith, director for Arena Early Learning Center, the combined, durable solution meets the supervision requirements necessary for transporting children throughout the day: We implemented etrace to keep better track of our drivers and kids for safety reasons, Smith said. When you are moving kids around and going on field trips, phones get dropped. etrace and the new SANYO phones are the perfect combination for our business.
Running a field-based service business has never been more challenging, said Doug Marinaro, vice president of marketing and business development for Gearworks. Customers demand quick, quality responses on location, and with health, fuel and wage costs rising, companies must find new productivity gains to maintain the bottom line. etrace for the SCP-7050 provides businesses a powerful, rugged solution for supervising and optimizing their workers in the field as easily as they do those in the office. With these new promotions, etrace is by far the best value mobile supervision product on the Sprint National Network today.
