SAN MATEO, Calif.-- --Backbase - The Ajax Company - today announced that its Enterprise Ajax software suite will support Apple's long-anticipated iPhone. The Backbase SDK enables developers to bring Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) and rich user interfaces to the iPhone.
Apple officially announced the choice of Ajax as the iPhone SDK at the recent Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco. Developers and users alike are going to be very surprised and pleased at how great these applications look and work on iPhone, said Apple CEO Steve Jobs. Our innovative approach, using Web 2.0-based standards, lets developers create amazing new applications while keeping the iPhone secure and reliable.
In coming months, Backbase will also deliver Widgets and components designed to take advantage of iPhone specifications.
