Announcing 3D Golf Course(TM) - Public Launch: April 1st, 2007

Within the 3D Golf Course environment, each hole can be viewed, navigated and identified at the touch of the screen. This enhanced 3D perspective view allows the golfer to assess, strategize and commit to the planned golf approach using, geo-specific, high-resolution terrain and imagery data.
Options for the golfer are unlimited. The golfer has the ability to view the entire course in a map ("top view") perspective and more importantly, the golfer can toggle to a 3D layout (3 Dimensional [x, y, z] - GPS - Latitude, Longitude, Elevation).
Engineering
We use engineering grade, aerial photography (photogrammetry) and high-resolution, satellite imagery to model each of our 3D Golf Course projects. Our decision to use geo-specific imagery vs. artist drawings was simple. We did not want false landscape creations or artist renditions of the courses we produced. We wanted the best and most precise cartographic data possible.
Falling back on our mapping expertise, the implementation of traditional aerial photogrammetry is very straightforward. Using high-resolution imagery data allows us to easily generate very accurate topographic, 3D terrain and imagery models of each course.
Each course is aerial photographed, GPS field surveyed and geoprocessed to the highest possible horizontal and vertical mapping accuracies; thus developing the finest topographic, DTM - DEM (Digital Elevation Models), and the finest 3D maps ever produced for the golf industry.
GPS Technology
Using powerful Trimble RTK (Real Time Kinematic), GPS hardware and our patented LASN (Local Area Spatial Network), the golfer will have incredibly precise range distances. Massive amounts of field testing have yielded excellent geodetic results, profiling horizontal accuracies of "+/- 1 inch" (range from cart to hole). This type of GPS accuracy, will allow hyper accurate play by play analysis, and increased precision for player statistics.
"This is all patented technology. FACT - No one in the golf industry has better GPS accuracy, precision or technology (Karl Engstrom CTO Terra Imaging, 3D Golf Course Press Release - January 1st, 2004).
3D Golf Course is a technology that makes you want to improve your golf game and emphasize your individual strengths. It is simple, easy to use, and incredibly powerful... and YES, it will improve your golf game. Using 3D Golf Course will bring new perspective and intelligence to your course strategy. It is designed for serious golfers and professionals who are looking to lower their scores and improve their overall performance.
Spatial Database
We are very proud to introduce our onboard spatial database. It will record player, and real-time GPS data such as:
- Player name
- PGA information
- Total strokes
- Strokes per/hole
- Total yards/meters
- Yards per/hole
- Yards per/stroke
- Maximum distance shots
- Real Time Weather
- Many more to be continued
The PGA
The benefits of recording a players data, will allow for unlimited post play analysis, statistical shot analysis, ball placement, and advanced course play overview. In association with the PGA, 3D Golf Course , will have the option of updating all official PGA scores to the centralized PGA database. All results can be emailed, faxed and/or printed and retained by the golfer as a daily performance record.
Wireless Technology
With an onboard computer, implementing Wi-Fi technology using secured LinkSys (Cisco - IEEE 802.11b/g) wireless routers was seamless. Embracing the search capabilities of Google Earth, the golfer has access to Bloomberg and NASDAQ stock reports, hotel and restaurant reservations, ground and airline transportation and complete telecommunications (VOIP, Email, IM).
