PALM HARBOR, Fla., Feb. 13 -- Proxix Solutions, a leader in location
intelligence solutions, today announced that Geodata Consultants, Inc.,
a geographic data provider, has selected Proxix's PxPoint geocoding
software to improve the accuracy of their customers' geographic
datasets.
PxPoint, a multinational geocoding and spatial analysis API, has
advanced matching algorithms and the functionality to use multiple
datasets to deliver the highest level of positional accuracy. Unlike
other geocoding solutions, PxPoint can geocode using parcel boundaries,
which identifies the exact geographic extents of an address.
"After receiving data back from several geocoding vendors, we did a
numerical comparison and a visual inspection of all the data. PxPoint's
results showed a marked improvement in the number of records returned
with a street level match and superior results when using parcel
boundary data," said John Haynes, vice president, Geodata Consultants,
Inc.
With many enterprises seeking to leverage the value of location into
their business operations, PxPoint's geocoding accuracy and spatial
analytics is ideal for an industry application including locational
analysis, mapping or location-based services (LBS).
PxPoint integrates easily into multiple operating systems for batch or
real-time processing, or is accessible through a Web Service.
"Over a decade ago, our team revolutionized the industry with the first
national address level geocoder. Today, we again are transforming the
industry with PxPoint, a multinational geocoder that provides the
highest level of geocoding accuracy not attainable by address point
solutions," stated George Rebhan, vice president, product management,
Proxix Solutions.
