Motorola Provides New Phone-Based Navigation and Location-Based Services and Products

Jentro Technologies and Destinator Technologies' Award Winning Navigation Solutions to be Integrated Into New Motorola Devices
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8 -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT - News) today announced it is bringing world-class mobile navigation and location-based services (LBS) to the mass market. Working with Jentro Technologies and Destinator Technologies as software suppliers, Motorola will launch new navigation products in 2007.
The new products and mobile devices will be equipped with location-based services and navigation platforms that give consumers access to local point-of-interest searches, community tools and other LBS and value-added services. These features are made possible by Destinator's seamless integration and Jentro's mobile Internet platform which uses the Java client on a handset to communicate with a server-based backend -- thus enabling a complete phone-based navigation for the mass market.
In addition, this new product portfolio will provide flexible, reliable solutions in personal navigation. Leveraging Destinator's fully adaptable navigation application, Motorola is able to customize product with up to 18 different languages and features for various regions and markets.
