Symmetricom SyncServer S200 is Compatible with Avaya Communications Manager IP Telephony Software
SAN JOSE, Calif.-- Symmetricom, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYMM), a worldwide leader in precise time and frequency products and services, today announced that SyncServer® S200™, the company’s high-performance Global Positioning System (GPS) network time protocol (NTP) server, is compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services. Avaya confirmed that the SyncServer S200 now is compliance-tested for compatibility with Avaya Communications Manager 3.1.2 IP telephony software.

As a member of the program, Symmetricom is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. where a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

The Stratum 1 level S200 derives its time directly from the atomic clocks aboard the GPS satellite system, providing perfect timing. The S200 is extensively customer tested and is based on decades of design experience.
