Written by NAVTEQ
Friday, 03 November 2006
CHICAGO, Nov. 1 -- NAVTEQ (NYSE:NVT) , a leading global provider of digital map data for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation and Intergraph, a global leader of spatial information management software are working together to provide worldwide government and transportation organizations with mobile and dispatch solutions enhanced with NAVTEQ data.

NAVTEQ's map database will enhance Intergraph's spatial technologies, delivering real-time geospatial information. As a result, mobile personnel and dispatchers will have access to detailed road attributes including turn restrictions and relative road crossing heights, road segment access restrictions, one-way streets and speed categories. This data will optimize routing with Intergraph's technologies, creating a foundation for voiceless dispatch, status updates, and queries within a single application.

"Intergraph is committed to providing the industries we serve with solutions for building and managing complex systems and operations," said Steve Reed, Director, Strategic Alliances and Partnerships, Intergraph. "Today's Government and transportation organizations require real-time information with legal and physical routing attributes, such as one way streets, bridge heights and turn restrictions. By teaming with NAVTEQ, Intergraph will deliver software solutions, enhanced with reliable map data that is compatible with industry standards, ultimately increasing efficiency and effectiveness for mobile personnel and dispatchers."

According to Vice President and General Manager of NAVTEQ Business and Government Solutions Roy Kolstad, "NAVTEQ's support of Intergraph's map data requirements underscores the growing public and private sector need for real-time geospatial data. Together, NAVTEQ and Intergraph can assist organizations as they incorporate geospatial solutions to further their business needs and objectives."
