Wirelexsoft, pioneers in powerful Rapid Application Development (RAD) technology, has announced a visual AJAX application development environment (VistaFei) for Google Web Toolkit, enabling advanced web development for the latest S60 browser.
This product is Wirelexsoft's most recent addition to its successful suite of Eclipse-based IDEs with RAD capabilities. A limited distribution Beta Release is now available to interested partners and developers. With the launch of VistaFei, Wirelexsoft has now successfully extended its visual driven development technology from the Mobile to the Web and the Desktop.
VistaFei is a visual feature-full Java development environment for dynamic AJAX web application development based on Google Web Toolkit. It is a complete end-to-end graphical based IDE that allows AJAX applications to be developed on the basis of What You See Is What You Get. Its extensive palette includes a variety of widgets and panels for all needs of sophisticated web application design. VistaFei's Internationalization capabilities make it the ideal tool to create web sites and applications ready for the world. Being built on Eclipse, VistaFei runs on a variety of Desktop platforms such as Windows and Linux.
VistaFei is the ideal solution for building dynamic web applications for businesses of all sizes, from small businesses such as small Software Companies and individual software developers, to the Enterprise such as Banks, Telecoms and large Consulting Companies. VistaFei will help increase productivity, improve quality and reduce the need to outsource. VistaFei will help companies to in-source rather than out-source, and achieve better results.
The first release of VistaFei provides a graphical Web UI Builder and a Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) Designer. It integrates with Eclipse Web Tool Platform (WTP) and thus makes available such tools as editors for HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSP, SQL, XML, DTD, XSD, and WSDL, etc.
AJAX applications are developed in Java, and VistaFei provides a feature-rich Java development environment. The application is compiled and debugged (using GWT Compiler and Debugger) and launched to a browser, all from within same environment. VistaFei is highly configurable and can be customized to work with different browsers (for the Mobile and Desktop), different screen sizes to suit different Smart Phones and PDA's, and different underlying frameworks.
Next planned releases shall include custom widget creation, data binding from various data sources, themes, and much more. The ability to create a Rich Client Programs (RCP) will make VistaFei a graphical tool for Desktop application development. Users will be able to develop Web applications as well as applications to run on the Desktop.
